RENEWAL is the first streaming platform to deliver informative, inspirational, and entertaining content on mental health, addiction recovery, and behavioral wellness—supporting people not just in treatment, but through post-discharge recovery, ongoing engagement in the work of healing, and meaningful community connection.

Why did we create it?

​

• Addiction and mental health problems affect ⅓ of the U.S. population either directly or through family, friendship, or association​

• A large amount of high quality recovery and mental health-related content (movies, documentaries, series, short-form, instructional) is undistributed, unaggregated, poorly curated, and adulterated with faulty advertising​

• For millions of people in recovery from alcohol and/or substance misuse, it is very important to have a “touch point” to recovery information, education and inspiration

• They usually can only get this through self-study, 1:1 therapy, or mutual support meetings

• But millions more avoid mutual support meetings altogether because of stigma, shame, or simple geography

• Having 24/7 access to recovery-related content gives individuals an immediate proximity to “the work” of recovery and a vital sense of community without geographic or scheduling limitations - and is a great new way to build their recovery capital​

• For some people facing addiction or mental health challenges, finding the right content at the right time could change their life, or even save it
